Taking care of the hair of African American toddler girls

African American toddler girls have curly hair unlike other American girls who have straight hair or not so curly hair. Special care for hair of African American toddler girls are needed as they are very curly, tangled and become dry easily.

A wide toothed comb should be used for detangling the hair of African American toddler girls and should start from the end of the hair and should move towards the scalp gradually. When the hair of African American toddler girls is wet then the person who is combing their hair should apply a good quality leave on conditioner so that they do not break easily. Great care should be provided to the hair that they do not become dry or brittle as the quality of the hair can deteriorate.

Natural, normal boar bristled brushes can be used on the hair of African American toddler girls. It is good to wash their hair once in a week or twice a week. Daily hair washing is not recommended as the moisture content of the hair can be lost due to excessive shampooing. Straightening or pressing is not recommended on the hair of African American toddler girls as they might be too young to have the patience to sit through the procedure and the next reason is that the chemicals and heat treatment can considerably bring down the quality of the hair.
