Flower girl dresses for toddlers and the choices

By | July 29, 2009

Flower girl dresses for toddlers choice and selection could be a task full of fun. Flower girl dresses for toddlers should not only look great on them but also need to make them comfortable. When selecting the flower girl dresses for toddlers it is good to check if the fabric used for making the dress is soft enough.

It should not scratch or itch. The style of the flower girl dresses for toddlers should match the gown of the bridesmaid hence matching bodices or sashes can be used. Since younger kids grow fast quickly, it is better to get dresses one inch or two inches longer than the normal size as this would avoid the difference in the length when the wedding takes place.

The color of the flower girl dresses for toddlers are often limited to off whites and whites. If the dress of bride is going to be white then it is better to choose the flower girl dress too in white in order to match the shade. Selecting the dress from the designer who created the bride’s dress will also be very appropriate.

In order to add a dash of color to the flower girl dresses for toddlers it is better to add a bodice or sash in accent color. If the wedding is scheduled during summer or spring, it would be a great idea to select the dress with floral pattern and if the winter is scheduled in winter sparkling velvet dress would be very appropriate.

I have to agree that toddler flowergirl dresses need to be comfy & LIKED by the toddler! My daughter was a flowergirl when she was 17 months old and hated the dress! It was absolutely adorable (super frilly), but she despised that thing, plus she was really hot in it.

my toddler days are VERY much over.

I smiled when I saw that wide shoes posting – two of my kids have Irish Feet (like a brick, that is not an actual condition, it is just what we call it in our family).

Glad that you stopped by – are you a weight loss person? How did you happen by???

It definitely is difficult to select age-appropriate dresses. There are so many beautiful options out there for flower girls but you’re right –it has to be toddler agreeable (not itchy and not too warm especially for summer weddings).
